Women have been competing in mixed martial arts since the mid-90s. However, it wasn’t until stars like Gina Carano rose to prominence in the late-2000s that female fighters began to receive mainstream recognition. Of course, when Ronda Rousey (and women’s MMA in general) debuted in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in 2013, it opened the door for many of the top female fighters we see today.


Now that more women are competing and thriving in the sport then ever, they are also starting to make some pretty good money. In fact, as we are about to see, several of the wealthiest have become millionaires.
